Independent Truckers Protest At Port Of Oakland
Please be advised that protest activities are affecting maritime operations at most Port terminals this morning.
While this situation remains fluid, currently the OICT, Ports America, Ben E. Nutter/Evergreen, and TraPac terminal gates are blocked due to the protests. Additionally, the Ampco truck parking lot entrance is blocked.
Some roadways are impacted, but due to the rapidly evolving situation, the degree and locations of the blockages change frequently. The Howard (Matson) Terminal is currently not impacted and operational. The Port is working closely with the Oakland Police Department to address the situation.
