The Community Cloth - Joseph West

Gulf Winds employee Joseph West was recently awarded first place in the cover contest for 002houston for his submission highlighting the local Houston organization The Community Cloth. The Community Cloth is a group of refugee artisan woman who work to support themselves through the creation of handmade wares such as woven bags, linens, baskets, rugs, scarves, flatware, accessories and more. For many of these women, this is the first chance to make money in America and gives them the opportunity to get started here using the skills that they have.
