“Finally a drayage company that “gets it”! GWI understands their critical role in our overall supply chain, and their web based ‘dashboard’ system is incredibly efficient while allowing us to manage multiple carriers, capture critical time/date action data, and give our Distribution Center one centralized website to manage their daily container workload. GWI’s first-rate and professional “can do” attitude has provided the perfect drayage partner for my operations.”

“The Container Store has benefited tremendously by increasing our weight per container from 40,000 lbs to the maximum of 56,000 lbs for product shipping from our plant in Sweden. By taking advantage of the dramatic weight increase per container, we have reduced the number of annual containers from 600 per year to 428. All containers shipping from Sweden arrive at the port in Houston. We have established a great partnership with Gulf Winds who moves the containers from the port directly across the street to their facility and then transloads the 56,000 lb containers to 40,000 lb truckloads to ship to our facility. Our freight costs are dramatically reduced which has had a significant impact on helping to offset the rising fuel and overall freight costs.”
